Wildlife The waters, beaches and forests of the Nehalem Bay Area abound with wildlife. Whales pass by during their bi-annual migration. The shoreline teems with birds, including many types of gulls.
Stellars jays, chickadees, nuthatches, flickers, woodpeckers, house sparrows and a variety of hummingbirds are just a few of the local birds, and many more stop by during migration.
