Special for July 30, 2006 News from The Center for Contemplative Arts You are invited to an open house at The Center for Contemplative Arts on Saturday, August 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. Please come and see our contemplative space and enjoy conversation, food, drink, and music by Shy Jazz. We are located in St. Catherine’s previous home at Underhill Plaza, Manzanita Avenue and Division Street, in Manzanita. Also, please mark your calendars for another offering of Prayer and Art facilitated by Jan Tarr. The eight sessions will begin on Friday morning, September 15, from 9:30 to 12:15, and will continue each Friday morning through November 10, with the exception of October 6. The fee is $20, which includes all supplies. It will be a time of silent meditation and painting with some discussion time at the beginning and end of each session. No experience in meditation or painting is required. The class will be limited to ten participants.
