Cecile La Pointe

Cecile La PointeBorn to the East Coast, learning her Watercolor skills in Southern California, and moving up to the Northwest in 1998, Cecile brings her visual expressions and geographical experiences to fruition through her Original Watercolors and Prints.

Beginning her career quite by accident, while taking an Illustration Class at a local Community College, she was introduced to the Art World and Watercolor. Mostly self-taught, she continues her education by taking and giving classes and workshops.

Cecile has made a lifetime commitment, donating 15% of her income from her art to
the cause of "Abused and Battered Women" stemming from an early-age trauma.

Terra Firma Creating images through my art has unleashed layers of self-imposed restrictions in my life, like that of "Peeling an Onion." Painting on a consistent basis is the single most important function I can perform. That one solitary act, repeated daily, reaches deep down into my soul and celebrates a creativity that fuels my existence.

Representation:  Cecile is represented by the 4th Street Gallery and Studio, 125 N. 4th Street in Manzanita, north of the Post Office, and also exhibits her work at the Pacific Rim Gallery in Astoria. You can find her prints, cards and bookmarks in gift and coffee shops, as well as at art shows in the area. Ordering is available though this web site, and Major Credit Cards will be accepted in the near future.
